Biography

In both my painting and sculpture, I work with the mundane object. With painting, I create a space for these objects to take on an iconic presence. With sculpture, I use these common remnants of our civilization to create human size constructions using a Biblical narrative. Earlier work took on influences from amusement parks and sideshows.

My work has been exhibited in New York galleries and museums, including Joan Whalen Fine Art and the Jewish Museum. I have also exhibited in Washington, D.C., San Francisco, CA, Philadelphia, PA, Atlanta, GA and the Butler Institute of American Art, Youngstown, OH.

I received A National Endowment for the Arts Fellowship in Painting and a Connecticut Commission on the Arts Individual Artists Grant. My work is included in corporate and private collections including Boeing Corporation and the Wellington Investment Group.
